Classic Dozier from Bob's Personal Collection
In 1975, after leaving A.G. Russell Knives and returning to work as an iron worker, Bob crafted this knife in Palmetto, LA, that was a true testament to hand craftsmanship. Bob only made four or five of this particular model, each one entirely shaped and finished using nothing but files and sandpaper - no machines were involved in the process. This method required patience and precision, forcing him to rely on his hands and instincts rather than mechanical tools. The result is a knife that carries the marks of true craftsmanship, with every contour and edge shaped through sheer effort and skill.

As Bob looks back, this knife represents a pivotal moment in his journey as a knifemaker. Though he had stepped back from working with A.G. Russell and returned to iron work, he never lost his passion for making blades. The dedication and effort he put into this knife - crafting it entirely by hand - reminded him why he loved the process in the first place. Each of the four or five knives carries a piece of that experience, reflecting both his skill and his determination to keep creating, no matter where life took him.
